DILATION & CURETTAGE
A procedure that involves removing tissue from your uterus. Dilation and curettage are procedures used to assess and treat uterine disorders such as excessive bleeding, as well as to clean the uterine lining following a miscarriage or abortion.

How do I prepare for dilation and curettage?
Avoid eating or drinking on the day of the surgery. You should take 1-2 days off from work or school to recover.
Are you more fertile after a procedure?
This varies from person to person. Some people get pregnant within two or three weeks after the procedure.
What should I expect after dilation and curettage?
You need a guardian to take you home. Resume your daily activities in 1 or 2 days.
